Dispensational Salvation – God always gave salvation by faith alone … WRONG

Covenant theology, which is primarily Calvinist is the enemy camp of dispensationalism. That is because the most challenging part to accept is dispensational salvations. One of the doctrines of Covenant theology is that salvation has always been by grace. That’s why there is a lot of confusing teachings by Paul Washer and Ray Comfort that faith must produce works.

Calvin Knox Cummings by the Orthodox Presbyterian Church

“The one requirement that God in this covenant made of man was faith. Faith is simply receiving something as true and trusting in it. God did not require that we inherit eternal life through our own works or adherence to the law. The content of the covenant of grace finds its clearest expression and summary in the words of our Savior. The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments contain only one way of salvation and that is according to the terms of the covenant of grace. The Bible knows of only one Savior only one Savior the Lord Jesus Christ does that.”

Another quote:

“DISPENSATIONALISM, therefore, as shown above, rejects the doctrine that God has, since the fall, but one “plan of salvation” for all mankind and affirms that God has been through the ages “administering” various and diverse plans of salvation for various groups.”

Old Testament salvation

Saved by faith and works. A person who is a sinner shall die in their sins during the Old Testament.

Ezekiel 18:20-22 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.”

Christian salvation

Saved by faith alone.

There are too many Bible verses that are obvious, so we will skip this part.

Tribulation salvation

Saved by faith and works.

Because the tribulation saints have to resist taking the mark of the Beast, it is works. They have to resist the persecution of hell itself.

Revelation 14:10-12 “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. “

Millennium salvation

Saved by works.

Faith is absent because God is going to present during the millennial reign. The condition to access the tree of life is to carry out God’s commandments.

Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
